The colour method analysis©

With regard to the CDA Centre d’AmbianceTM, Beat Grossenbacher developed the colour method analysis© to design a neurologically optimised ambience in places where people encounter other people. Precisely defined mediation competencies across the whole range of sensations form the key element. Current research in neuroscience and that of the CDA Centre d’AmbianceTM clearly show that matching the stimulations of our senses must be seen as a key aspect of multi-sensory communication.

The colour method analysis© links knowledge of colour theory with that of neuroscience. It is based on the premise that people can understand each sensation as a colour code. If we touch iron, in most cases the colour code will react “blue”, even if the object being touched has a different colour.

Together with the research from EEG (method for measuring brain activity), the findings of the CDA Centre d’AmbianceTM led to a pairing of knowledge about colour theory with the allocation of attributes based on individual evidence. In this way, descriptions about love or eroticism in the subconscious are always connected with the colour “red”, whereas observations about family and trust are always associated with the colour “blue”.

Colour method analysis© gives us the possibility to create an environment in which people feel good. An environment that is not just perceived but intensely experienced. However, every perception here must send out the same information. Colours, music, scents or touchpoints - the key lies in matching the overarching senses. The effect of the multisensory enhancement only develops once there is a consistent overall picture.

Studies confirm that matching sensations in the brain are processed up to ten times more intensively. This signifies as it were a significant increase in the recall and recognition performance as well as in the differentiation.

Colour method analysis© has been at the heart of the work carried out by Beat Grossenbacher and the CDA Centre d’AmbianceTM since 1995. During many years of research, methods were sought to transfer smell onto the other senses; to give a colour to the senses of sight (colour, form, light) and smell, while also including acoustic and tactile elements. This all resulted in the “multi-sensory colour method analysis©”. With careful sensory quality, every scent is assigned a certain colour frequency.

This knowledge has been used to help people for many years now, matching visual sensations through the use of scents and finding “multidimensional” matches. The colour method analysis© covers all causalities on the transfer of mediation competencies to places where people live, trade and chat. These competencies are recognised under the rules of colour science. A potential that, in terms of the person as a whole, can be used in its multi-sensory form.
