Menschen & Demenz

When the Mind Fades Away!

When the mind fades away, feelings rapidly take over! The pilot in the brain, which guides us through the majority of our lives, increasingly leaves its place to the autopilot. Our perceptions and reactions to this can only in part be accessed on a conscious level.

When looking after people with dementia day-to-day, CDA (congruent deployment of the senses) can be used to consciously activate or calm down. The effects on staff, residents and visitors are huge. A multisensor deployment of the senses will become increasingly more important in the future.
